Head Start/Early Intervention

Partners & Support

Volunteers and community organizations play an important role in the successful implementation of the Head Start Program. Volunteers assist with classroom activities, parent education, and recruitment of other volunteers. Donations of goods, services, and time count toward the 20% non-federal share required in the Head Start budget. Business people, high school, college students, parents of Head Start children, retired senior citizens, professionals, and members of service clubs and organizations are welcomed and needed in the program. Whether in the classroom or behind the scenes, volunteers and community organizations are a vital part of the program success and to the children and families they serve.
